Four Is Not Enough..

My latest trip to Perbadanan Perpustakaan Awam Selangor (PPAS) at Bandar Baru Selayang with Wawa and Ajit, make me come across (again) with a book that make me thank to Allah that my choice of studies which I graduated some twelve years ago was Accounting...

Everybody knows, Chef Wan was also Accounting graduates and in fact is an accountant before he become what he is today and all he has achieved.. I love reading Rich Dad Poor Dad (RDPD)by Robert T.Kiyosaki with Sharon L. Lechter, C.P.A.

In fact i've read it four times.. My first encounter during my employment as an Internal Auditor in this can manufacturing factory in Batu Caves.. My manager was on leave, and I saw this particular book on the table as if pleading me to go through it.. get real.. I got the passive income concept, and the importance of financial literacy.. assets and liabilities, use other people money to pay for luxuries.. and so on.. one day all it takes..

Then, somewhere end of last year, when e-book becomes so happening.. some friends forward me the e-book of RDPD .. I managed to go through it two times this time round.. how come.. I'm a stay at home mum now.. Glad with the availability of it as a revision.. for me to focus.. the ability to create money.. fuhhh..

I borrowed it again when I came across it at the PPAS, so I can read it for the fourth time.. anything new.. don't be surprised.. everytime you reread a book, you will always find new point that you've missed or were not well understood.. (I read this statement somewhere also), so that's why we need to reread a book.. My latest notes, I must mind my own business...

My fifth time rounds, I know, I'm gonna read it from back to front.. I'm sure more will surface.. because normally, towards the end of reading books or magazines, humans are eager to end it fast..

Anybody here beats my count on this book?

You Are Not Serious..

"Are you joking?" is another usual comment I received from my cousins, uncles and aunties, my mother's neighbours.. upon my latest status as stay-at-home mum. Quite hard for me to explain in detail my reasons.. Those comments, facial expressions sometimes do make me feel guilty.. but only me, and ME alone really knows what I'm going to do with my life.. MY LIFE.

Of course, after spending so and so years of my life in boarding school, not to forget my degrees from reputable institution.. May be, for them it is just a waste to become home manager.. I keep reminding myself.. I'm a home manager with my vision, not just cleaning, washing, cooking, bills paying, or watching soap opera all day.. In actuality, I have a more hectic schedule coping daily chores not forgetting my dreams..

Until I come across a book called 'Corporate Life To Multi Level Marketing" by Lee Poh Eng.. When she said "living but not really living".. the reason for changes in direction of my life.. another quote from her book, which is my favourite "Yes, change does not necessarily lead to improvement, but to improve, one needs to change. We usually allow the 'good' to distract us from being 'better' or being 'the best'. Because the enemy of the Best is Good." It sums my action. I'm striving towards the best... Yes, no doubt previous lifestyle was good..

Hey, who cares.. I don't want to explain my action, just some understanding..

My Visit To PPAS

In my effort to encourage reading.. hope reading become habbit in daily routine of my three kids, I frequent visit to PPAS Bandar Baru Selayang. By chance, I found this book called "A Million Bucks By 30" by Alan Corey.

Some of his tips been applied by me, my hubby and the whole family. Whenever we (my hubby and me) were to make commitment (loan) or purchases, we asked ourselves whether this particular purchases a "wants" or "necessities".. As for our family car, at that time( I was working) we could afford a Proton Persona.. instead when Proton Saga old edition was on sale (before the new Saga open to the market) .. we bought the cheaper one of course.. Save the best one when we are a big M..

As for the place we live in, we choose decent house for a family of five.. I objected to the idea to give my lovely kids a very comfortable place to live in, hoping it become their motivation to do well in school.. Instead, I believe when there is a want, there is a way.. for example Nik Nur Madihah.. the motivation to succed.. comes from within herself.. that will make one achieved their aim.. Till next time

How Long Do You Want To Live..

I'm not on economy this time.. I'm always keen to write.. a novel maybe.. in fact, once in my younger days ( where pc or laptop are never heard of) I requested my dad to buy me a typewriter from his hard earned money.. so that I can pursue my dream.. He bought me one, which now can be sent to the museum.. But always put on hold my dream to put my ideas into writing..

Until I got hold of my fav. mag. the Reader's Digest(RD) from my hubby.. he always know that RD and me had some kind of history.. The March 2009 issue mentioned something about "memoir"..

I don't have to crack my head for wonderful ideas to write, all I have to do is put in writing interesting moments or memorable events I've been through in my life..

And how does it relate to my title this time? When I managed to compile my memoirs and get it published, and every households has a copy of my book... even though I'm no longer in this world, my legacy still is...

Tq, my dearest hubby.. especially for not being jealouse with d RD..

Desperate time require desperate measure

Sound cliche? It is...Everybody says the economic is down. But I will say- it is not yet in Malaysia. It is perceived down. It is like the Bull Run of Malaysia economics in 1990-ties. It is perceived success because everybody is buying everything - from stock to cars to houses.

Now, it is the same case. If you go to hypermarket - Giant, Carrefour, AEON - there still a lot of people there. New cars still rolling out of the showroom - be it a Proton, a Naza, etc. The economy will be down if we think it will. So, do not stop buying- cars, furniture, house, land, gold - everything, buy it as usual - cause that will keep the cash circulating around the country. Cash is like blood, - can be store in bank for future use but more useful when it is in circulation.

The future is bleak - for the economy. But it would not be if we do think it will. Spend on your gift to the loves ones, buy toys, clothes, cakes, everything but try every effort to buy Malaysian made products. Only that will help ourself from economic breakdown.
